I'm Shadow Ocean, and this is my life.

I'm a poet, a dreamer, a musician, an artist. 

I've been thinking about blogging for a long time. But what do I focus on? There are so many ideas I can't wait to share, projects to document, articles to discuss...

Cat Rescue! Our cat sanctuary is currently home to 10 permanent feline residents, and we have fostered litters of kittens through the local Humane Society. I can't wait to show you some fun construction ideas for your own outdoor Cat Safety Zone!

Parenting! As a new mother and elementary school teacher, I would love to explore the research surrounding early childhood education trends, including Attachment Parenting and Montessori learning techniques.

Landscaping & Building! I love a good project, especially if it involves a trip to the Home Depot! Get out that impact driver and let's do some home improvements and major landscaping together.

Organic gardening! We love our little veggie garden, diligently protected from the deer & bunnies with an 8 ft. fence! I'm always looking for organic ways to beat the bugs and good tips on heirloom varieties that are fun to grow.

Costuming! I LOVE the arts and the crafts. I'm excited about doing one-of-a-kind, epic costumes for festivals, theater, Halloween, masquerades & Mardi Gras. I plan to post video and picture tutorials of all my projects here for the good of all Cosplayers.

Home Decorating! Last but not least, I plan to discuss, archive & Pinterest my way to interior design Bliss in my little slice of Heaven. My house is never the same from one week to the next, so there should be plenty to play around with.
