It Comes Together

I watched the light reflect upon the tear that never fell

            But glistened there upon your face

I heard the music you would never hear for you are deaf to all I say

            Lord take me from this place

I danced among the trees you’ve never climbed and never will

            For climbing leads to falling in the end

I walked hand in hand with many, met their strong demands

            But found not one which I would call my friend

So I watch, I listen, I dance, I pray,

Still I say, it comes together in the end.

I sat with you ‘til morning and I prayed with you for something

            But I don’t deny, I wish to start again
