Thanksgiving

Symbiotic maismas
                 erupt
                                  over a turkey dinner
Gravy spills
                on the clean white linens
                                   of emotion
The cranberry sauce
                gleams red in the candle glow
Blushing furiously
                as the mashed potatos crowd
                                  the yams
                                  onto a reservation
                                  in one
                                   obsolete
                                                                corner
                                                                             of
                                                                      the
                                                                                 plate.
